Responsibility for Each Other

The common life in the Alumnat is characterized and streng-thened by assigning a little responsibility to each individual student, involving not only singing and everyday choral chores, but every aspect of living together in the Alumnat. The older Thomaner are responsible as mentors for the younger ones and assist them as counselors and caring listeners, because many of the concerns are familiar to them from their own experience.

Of course there is a close collaboration in the education of the boys and young men with the parents and a partnership is forged between educators, parents and the Thomaskantor.
